(Gleneagles ex Remember You)
Standing at March Hare Stud
Most flat breeders harbour the desire to breed a Royal Ascot winner and will have that exact opportunity with Gleneagle's first stakes winner Southern Hills standing his first season 2021. Southern Hills won the Windsor Castle Stakes at the Royal meeting last year beating Platinum Star, who later was second in the July Stakes. He is an imposing horse with pure speed. Aidan O'Brien said 'Southern Hills is a fast horse. These Gleneagles are fast and brave, those are the two traits his stock seem to have. I think five or six furlongs will be his trip, he's got a lot of speed.'
This year he ran in the Group 1 on his return as a three year old beaten only 7 lengths by the impressive Golden Horde. He will be the first son of Gleneagles to stand at stud and will allow breeders to access speed and the Galileo attributes. His dam was G3 placed herself and has produced stakes performers in what is still a young developing family.
